Dutch - AZ

Special Needs: Dutch is a 7 yr old pure bred GSP. He came to us originally, 5 yrs ago. He was very loved by his family but a 2 yrs old Dutch started to have seizures. His family was concerned because they had small children and other dogs and when Dutch came out of the seizures, he wasn't himself. 5 years ago we found a family who was prepared to manage his condition. He still has seizures. His daily medication, potassium bromide & Phenobarbital, limits his seizures to monthly for the most part but he will likely always have seizures. His family is overwhelmed and asked us to help find him a home who can give him lots of exercise, room to run and do his bird dog thing (nose to the ground), lots of love and cuddle time, and of course, manage his special needs. He is a gentle giant that loves all people, big and small. He loves the water! He has impeccable manners in the house, but because of his medication, he will always search for food. If he's not swimming, hunting back yard critters, or searching for food, he's cuddling with his people. If you are interested in learning more about Dutch, please apply!
