Rio - CO

Miss Rio came to us last month, from New Mexico. She is approximately 3 yrs old and very loving, friendly, and an A+ snuggler! We don't know anything about her past, but since she has been in our care we have learned that she does great on a leash. She loves long walks and meeting new people. When she meets new people she will immediately make them her new best friend! She has an irresistible smile! She wants to play with all the dogs now! She does not like loud noises, so it would be best if her new home was a quiet home. She has not been around children, the smaller ones are probably too loud for her, but older ones would likely do great with her! Her crate training is coming along very well. She settles down and is not destructive in her crate. She will counter surf if given the opportunity. She has a big back yard at her foster home and has never challenged the fence or tried to escape. She definitely has a prey drive, so no cats. She is not a barker, in fact, the foster family has never heard her bark. She will try to dash through an open door to the outside, so leash needs to be on when opening an outside door, and continued training will be needed. Rio is incredibly sweet and loving and needs a family who can show her a KIND world. She would love a confident dog brother or sister.
