Ways to help.
Giving back doesn’t mean you have to spend a lot of money. Sometimes, all it takes is a little bit of time and creativity to make a big difference. Check out some of the other wonderful ways you can help us rescue GSP's.
Volunteer
Volunteering is a wonderful way to meet great friends, learn new skills and help make a difference for Shorthairs in need. Sound like fun? We have so many ways you can get involved and we welcome your help. Our current volunteer needs are listed on our Volunteer page.
Foster
If you can provide a safe and nurturing foster home for one of our GSP's while they wait for their forever home, please submit a Foster Application. We do not have a kennel or shelter facility, so we are limited in the number of dogs we save by the number of qualified foster homes! You can find all the specifics on fostering for us on our Foster Information and Foster Basics pages.
Ask your employer about volunteer grants!
Many larger employers offer volunteer grants when volunteering for a non-profit 501c3 organization! Does yours? Check with your Human Resources department to find out. A volunteer grant is when a company provides either a monetary donation for every hour an employee volunteers, or it provides a grant once the employee reaches a certain threshold. Make your volunteer hours count!
Clean out that closet!
Another easy, no-cost way to give to charity is to pass along gently used dog items that you are no longer using. Our Wishlist has several items that you may no longer need and would make life a little easier for our foster homes and our rescue pups.
Don't just take your dog for a walk...take your walk for a dog!
Go to WoofTrax.com, download the app, and support our organization every time you walk your dog. Use the app each time you grab for the leash. It’s healthy for you, your dog, and helps provide our organization with extra funds needed to support our GSP'S.
Every Walk for a Dog counts, whether it's a walk around the block or a three-mile hike. Magnify your impact by sharing the app with your friends and family.

*Once you've downloaded the app, you will need to create an account, then select Colorado and All Points West German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue, then start walking!

AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon with the same products, prices, and shopping features as Amazon.com. The difference is that when you shop on AmazonSmile (smile.amazon.com), the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products to the charitable organization of your choice.
Every item available for purchase on www.amazon.com is also available on AmazonSmile (smile.amazon.com) at the same price. You will see eligible products marked "Eligible for AmazonSmile donation" on their product detail pages.
